Find no. moles for Sulfur Dioxide molecules, sulfur atoms and oxygen atoms in 5.45g of sulfur dioxide.
I'm not sure how to find the moles for oxygen. Thanks

Molecular formula of sulfur dioxide is SO2.

In 1 mol SO2 there are 1 mol S and 2 moles O atoms.

Now 5.45g SO2 = 5.45/64 = 0.085 moles of SO2

Therefore, No. of moles of S = 0.085x1 = 0.085

And No. of moles of oxygen = 0.085x2 = 0.17
