I am little confused what means by a net dipole?

When you look at a molecule, (especially larger ones), there are many bonds. Each bond has a dipole (provided the right conditions - i.e. two atoms with differing electronegativities). The net dipole is the sum of all these dipoles in each individual bond. The net dipole is what will determine whether a molecule is polar or non-polar and from there you can determine reactivity, solubility and other attributes.

net diploe is the sum of the two dipole forces in two molecules. you don't need to know much about that excep whatever is in the book. also know your forces for yr 12 btw i.e. disperions, polar...
