Water Restrictions. Should schools be exempt? (1 Viewer)

Hey!

In the Fundraising thread some members said that schools were allowed to use sprinklers to water gardens and that they were exempt from the water restrictions that are in place.
What are your thoughts on this. Should schools be able to use water whenever and wherever they want?
Oh yeah is there a limit to how much schools can use?

I dont think there is, if they apply for exemption

But I think they should limit themselves at least. Nobody cares about flowers during a drought

Well our playing fields are watered with big sprinklers (theres three large fields within the school) at dusk every day, and the sprinklers go on the gardens every third day. The Infants Veggie Garden is also sprinklered when it gets hot (they use watering cans other than that but sometimes it needs more water).

I honestly don't think they should be exempted unless they are using it at specific times where it's okay. It's unfair.
Does nayone go to a school which has a swimming pool? Please tell me you guys aren't using it.

Yeah we have an indoor pool? Why wouldn't we be using it?

I also have a pool at home, are you saying I should empty that?

I'm not saying never to water the garden, but they should only water at specific times. They shouldn't have the freedom to use water at anytime of the day.
There's no need to use water if it is unnessescary.
