Now that the HSC is over, how much money did your parents spend on tuition?

For me I felt the amount of money put into me and the outcome of my result was quite shocking.

Approximately about $10,000 has been spent on my tution for the SOLE purpose of getting a decent UAI.

I certainly don't feel happy with my result.

Anyone else do tutoring? Did it help you?

Please do -not- answer this if you don't want to even know...

It goes to show if you really suck at the subject then you really do no matter how much third party help you get.

I got tuition in English since August last year. It paid off, with a 91 in Advanced.

I got a good deal too, $70 for 2hrs a week. I can't be bothered calculating. Maybe $4000 all up, give or take a bit.

I didn't.

Parents did.

I didn't want to go to tutors.

They forced it.

So true! I have to say doing early tution is absolutely useless.

Year 11.12 tutoring should help, but if you are forced to do it i.e. by your parents, you'd probably be better off not doing it.

I jigged about 5 weeks of northshore per term. about 10 weeks each term

Waste of money? yes.... do i care? no...parents money. they forced me.

i was tutored 3U maths at northshore. i ended up dogging 3U in my UAI calculation.
