Ok, I'm in year 10 and am looking at my options for subject's in years 11/12. I am a fairly decent student, 1st in Maths at school 4th in Eng(climbing fast though) and 1st in Science. I go to a 200ish rank catholic school in rural nsw.

Here is what I'm considering so far:

Adv maths with Ext 1 & 2.
Chem
Physics
English Adv, plus Ext 1 & 2.
Studies of Religions (1 or 2 unit) have to do this, its compulsory at school.

I'm looking to try for an American Uni (or college as they would say) e.g. Yale and do a physics or technology related course.

Do you guys think this is fine, and I understand if I do 2 unit RE then that is 14 units. However, I also have heard there is 1 unit ex 1 & 2 for Maths, is this true and what are its benefits/drawbacks.
I'm looking for advice from people who have done 14 units before etc as well as these subjects.

Thanks

EX2 english/mathematics is only avaliable in year 12.

And you need a minimum of 12 units for year 11.

You're forgetting about chem
I think 14 units whilst doing EX2 english and Mathematics would be incredibly difficult to balance during year 12.

However you have year 11 to realise if you like some of your subjects then drop to 11-13 units.

Thanks, that's probably what I'll go with high hopes in year 11 but can assess what to do in T3 year 11.
