Interdependence refers to how each business function depends on each other.

Thus, how the other business functions need to work together with marketing to produce a good/service.

e.g. operations produces a product which the marketing department is able to promote and sell successfully. The right HR team need to be employed for the 'smooth-running' of the process. And how the marketing team needs to work with the finance department for the funds available and be on budget.

Can someone please explain in depth how operations is interdependent on marketing
This does not cover the entire concept but

Marketing is the revenue generating activity of the business, revolving around advertising and selling a businesses products in essence. The success of marketing is directly related with the quality of products produced by operations, whilst the required quality of products produced by operations is also influenced by the marketing strategies employed by the business in hand with the relative success of a marketing as mentioned earlier. The corporate social responsibility of a business in operations will moreover effect the businesses ability to appeal to certain demographics of consumers (hence altering choice of target market) in marketing, and due to interdependence of functions the marketing strategies employed by the business will additionally alter the businesses requirements in relation to CSR.

The type of good produced by operations and adoption of the total product concept will lead to an alteration of price quality interaction and overall consumer satisfaction hence enhancing or limiting a businesses ability to employ marketing strategies. This will hence effect the businesses ability to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage and capacity to increase market share and make a profit.

In simple terms

Operations is responsible for making products
Marketing is responsible for selling products

The links from there are really basic imo

Pretty much this. It's simply coz you market products to people which creates demand for the product (otherwise how will people know about the product in the first place if you don't do marketing lol) this demand needs to be met by operations processes which are transformation processes that convert inputs to outputs hence there is a degree of interdependence between the two.
