A) Who is going to win the 2013 federal election? B) What are the key issues that will decide the next federal election? C) Who is the best person to be PM of Australia?

Tony Abbott is the most unpopular leader of the Opposition in Australian History. He is more unpopular than the carbon tax/ ETS. Yet the Liberal Party have 53 per cent Two Party Preferred vote against Labor's 47 per cent according to polling done by Nielsen. Will the Liberals win and why do you think so?

The Liberals will win because labor and gillard in particular have shown themselves to be incompetents.

Based upon his views upon economics and unionism, it's never going to happen. Personally, I would love a Turnbull-led Liberal Party. Not going to happen, unfortunately, but I would align near-perfectly with such a government.

On the election, the Liberal/National coalition will probably win.

A) Who is going to win the 2013 federal election?

Wish that none of them would... but if I had to pick one I would say Julia Gillard by a nose...

B) What are the key issues that will decide the next federal election?

Job Security, Economy, Tax, Liberal's will try to claim Labor is ran by the union, Industrial Relations Reform, Mr Slipper and Mr Thompson (Integrity Issue), etc.

C) Who is the best person to be PM of Australia?

Margaret Thatcher

Re: 2013 Australian Federal election

Tony Abbott is the most unpopular leader of the Opposition in Australian History.
Even if that were true (It's not, Simon Crean is.) what does it say about Gillard and the ALP that despite Abbott's apparent unpopularity they would still lose in a landslide.

Edit: I believe I saw somewhere that Dr Hewson and not Simon Crean clocked the worst satisfaction rating of all time actually. Surprisingly Gough had a very low rating in 1972 as well.
Depends on the measure. Peacock has the worst dissatisfaction rating ever (72%).

Re: 2013 Australian Federal election

probably more people are going to vote Greens now lol. But I think Labor will still win by a margin or it might as well be a hung parliament again which is likely since both aren't the greatest..

Crap, I have to start voting next year and becoming a functioning member of society.

Also, Liberal will win I believe.

"It's time" as Gough Whitlam once said.

voting sex party here :)

Anyhow, as for the original question, it may be possibly a hung parliament this time. Also its worse because no-one wants to vote for either of the two candidates :/

Re: 2013 Australian Federal election

A) Who is going to win the 2013 federal election?
Julia Gillard (second best option to lead the country right now, behind Kevin Rudd)
B) What are the key issues that will decide the next federal election?
ECONOMY!!!, ECONOMY!!, and anything related to economy (i.e. unemployment, and unfortunately carbon tax{which is been so misconstrued}). Also stupid things, that shouldn't matter, like so called "INTEGRITY"
C) Who is the best person to be PM of Australia?
As i said before, from labour, Kevin Rudd. Adam Bandt MP and Christine Milne (from the Greens) arent bad. Not many great options tbh.
D) BONUD Q: What kind of people would be the worst?
Certainly anyone from nationals, they just want to piss on the country, but all liberals too!

Re: 2013 Australian Federal election

A young person who votes for Labor doesn't believe integrity matters. It writes itself.

C) Kim Jong Un. Dear Leader's blessed son is exactly what this country needs in order to function as a proper, hard working and democracy loving nation.

Re: 2013 Australian Federal election

Liberal needs to be in power I reckon, however at the end of the day both parties are just as ineffective. I reckon a few ministers within the Coalition will contest Tony Abbott being leader of the Lib Party though.

A) Who is going to win the 2013 federal election?
Liberal Party- Tony Abbott, Malcolm Turnbull or Joe Hockey
B) What are the key issues that will decide the next federal election?
Same sex marriage, Immigration, Carbon tax, Education funding, Unemployment, Centrelink rates for the old-age pension etc, matters to do with defence and tax breaks.
C) Who is the best person to be PM of Australia?
No ideaaaaaaaaaa. Me! (one day)
