You know, rather than pulling statements out of your arse, it would be a good idea to back up that rhetoric with a bit of logic... No, I don't think the Greens will do incredibly good (at least not better than the position they are in at the moment)... In my opinion, their popularity has all but peaked...

Expect that to correct to the 2013 election levels for the Greens as more people become clear on who they will vote for... I'd call it if I was LNP ASAP, they would still win...

When you think about the big picture as well, you have a political party with about 10% of the total vote with the capability to bring the Senate to gridlock (which is what they have been doing with the help of the ALP and independents)... If you are talking about a power struggle, you cannot top that in terms of a power imbalance... If anything, the position they are in at present is one that I think many politicians would envy...

The Greens would fizzle if they were to gain the momentum which would make them a major political party... especially in a country that, lets face it, is extremely conservative...

I agree. I suspect Bowen probably will be the next Labor prime minister, it is just a question of timing.

Labor needs to move back to the centre. They've swung too far left into bed with the Greens and this has hurt them.
3.5 years later and this post remains true. Shorten has no hope of ever becoming prime minister.

I don't like any of the parties this election. If only we had a Sanders or Corbyn right now in Australia I would have been more interested !

Ok let's try to get some legit debate happening.

Nah I am a socialist duh.. Too left wing for this country !

I believe in gender and marriage equality, we live in a secular society where all people of all religions, sexuality and views can live together in peace and harmony. No religion, gender, culture or race should get preference over another and these things should have no say in our politics. These things are there to divide us and just bring one against another.

Hope over fear and unity over division !
What are your thoughts on wealthy individuals? Do you take a Bernie stance (would like to see a limit to salary), or do you see no wrong in people working hard for their millions in salary?

If the Liberals win this election I will be seriously disappointed. Their attitude and policies towards negative gearing, and their trickle down economics seen in the budget is abhorrent and will only lead to a worsening economic situation in Australia and increase income inequality. Half of their policies from the budget were borrowed (stolen) from labour and I honestly can't support a coalition with backwards idiots like Barnaby Joyce.

"trickle down economics" is so dumb. like obviously poor countries just need to share the wealth around and they'll be as wealthy as anyone else. all this talk of ' economic development' is neoliberal nonsense designed to exploit the poor

Re: Who you prefrencing this weekend?

At the moment its Coalition 90% v 10% Labor (according to Polls) as I speak on 28/6/16

Will take a monumental effort to Labor to get up from here.
