i went to the usyd bar. has some fucking hot chicks. so yeah, id count that as a reason to go to usyd. im not into asians.

Nice, the sort of answers im looking for! But i heard the hot ones r from B arts but are there hot ones at commerce? im mean in compariosn to unsw commerce... does usyd have hotter chicks?

Also does anyone happen to have pics or perhaps link to pics of the faculty of comerce & economics at usyd Im currenty overseas and i wil miss out the info day ( iv never been to usyd before) . Im hoping usyd has a modernish building ... lol

yeh true! but the hting is both uni has things tht seem to fit my lifetstyle...

unsw has flexibile courses and timetables whilst usyd as the good looking chicks ( i presume?) so its prety even in life style lol

I'm not doing commerce at usyd, my boyfriend does, but I've always thought that the subject content at usyd is more theoretical than practical. To me, it feels like they've never updated the subjects in keeping with modern business practices (although I'm sure they have).

You'll get the same degree at the end of the three years regardless of the uni you go to.

It just comes down to preference.

anyway i think im leaning towards usyd right now (just a bit) because i found out transport to sydney to be much easier than unsw also saving me an extra $3 for the tolls if im driving

lol usyd exterior is a hundred times better than the interior... for the science building at least

i kinda liked the old school feeling of it, its got wooden benches and the material on the seats is like a green patterned old style office look.

i've heard that the lack of AC is a problem though (according to UOW, lol it was listed as one of the reasons to go to UOW)

I think Mereweather is shit, and you'll be spending a lot of time there. But the buildings shouldn't factor in to your decision imo

Had a face to face with recruiters from the finance industry. They tell me employers rate comm/business degrees as follows:

UNSW/MQ > USyd/UTS > UWS > ....

But umm i got a some answers from a friend's friend who did a transfer from usyd to unsw and gave e advice tht finance at unsw is 10x better becuase they do it in the 1st yr etc whilst usyd = 2nd yr, Is this the same for other majors as well?

Also i was told tht:

"at USYD once its week 2 you cant drop the subejct anymore which sucks if you realise you hate it. in UNSW you can go up to like week 6...... very flexible"

is this true?


Anyway the thing im worried now is tht say "IF" i transfered from usyd to unsw after 1st yr would this mean i start all over again in unsw? or wil they allow u to continue as a 2nd yr student? and is the transfer difficult?
