VE is quite easy.
If you don't have a textbook handy have a look at the site http://academic.brooklyn.cuny.edu/ge.../vertexag.html which is pretty good. If you need mroe help just reply and I'll be happy to help you.

man i hate doing this. i keep on assuming i know how to do this and other skills, then i get into the exam/test and forget how to do it.

is it horizontal scale over vertical scale or the other way round?

it's vertical scale over horizontal scale and then u invert the fraction of the horizontal scael and multiply it will the certical scale.

Sorry if i confused u there.

make sure u convert both of them into the same measurements ie. metres or cetimetres. etc.

i didnt mean certical scale. LOL. I meant vertical scale.
