i have had so much trouble with this question, and i'm sure i'm just thinking about to much. But could you guys and gals give me some help with.

The degree of ionisation of a 1M acetic acid solution is 0.4%. The degree of ionisation of a 0.1M acetic acid solution is 1.3%. Determine the difference in [H30+] between 0.1M and 1M acetic acid.

Help would be greatly appreciated. :eek:

SO [H3O+] for 1M will be 0.4% *1 = 0.004 mol/L

for 0.1M it will be 1.3% * 0.1 = 0.013*0.1 = 0.0013

difference = 0.004-0.0013 = 0.0027 = 2.7*10^-3

ive never encountered a Q like this in all the past papers ive done, but seems pretty straight forward
