    Do you get marked down for incorrect significant figures?

    Say if you had one more decimal than was necessary, would you get marked down? Even if the question didn't specify

    Yes you will. e.g Titration: if the question asks for the molarity of a substance and gives you the molarity for another substance, and the known substances they give you is lets say, 0.89432 M/l
    this is 5 sig fig so you need to do to 5 sig fig aswell.
    However, keep all your answers in exact (unless specified not to), only round of at the very last answer
