Identify neurones as nerve cells taht are transmitters of signals by electrochemical changes in their membranes...waht do i need to know for this dot point, like to what detail? can someone explain the actiona potential, threshold, the whole idea of sodium and potassium ions..blah blha blah..

If it has been achieved, an action potential (electrochemical impulse) is formed, which is electrical changes caused by sodium ions moving into the neurone (depolarisation). After the signal has been transmitted, potassium ions move to the outside of the cell to restore the original charge of the neurone (repolarisation). <--- that's the basics of it, but it goes into more depth.
