27 Jun 2009, 2:35 AM ![]() | cataracts You can hide this advertisement by registering. just after some help about the causes of cataracts at a cellular level, there is plenty of info on how they are caused just really hard to find at cellular level and a bit confusing aswell....also wat macroscopic changes the condition causes in the organism??? any help would be a life save thanks |

Today, 1:06 PM ![]() | Re: cataracts Caused by several factors—injury, severe inflammatory disease of the eye, drug reactions or radiation, disease such as glaucoma or diabetes, sun exposure, smoking or congenital. Most develop late in life due to aging. At a cellular level cataract is basically clouding in the lens which obstructs the passage of light. Not really sure what you are after ... hope that helps.
