Hey there! Sorry if this is too late and therefore useless

These are my notes on social theories:

DOT POINT 2.5- Introducing theories of social change and evaluating their role in explaining continuities and changes in society

Socio-evolutionary:
- Change is inevitable
-Over time society becomes more complex (westernisation)
Flaws:
- No room for movement
- All societies are not the same

Functionalist:

- Society consists of independent parts, a change occurs and the society makes adjustments that are more complex in nature to bring back balance
Flaws:
- Not all countries have the resources to become more complex
- Not all countries want change, some may revert back to simplicity

Conflict:
- Calm society, a build-up occurs and finally they reach breaking point with a trigger. The society then overcomes the trigger to return to peace
Flaws:
- The society doesn’t always know that there’s a build up
- Change is not always this gradual

Now, pick one of these and fit it to globalisation. Hope this helps :)
