Our teacher has already given us chemistry contexts which as you say is really good! I'm still trying to find good notes cause there isnt any in hsc online either! Its not a common elective..but i think there should be resources for all options...whether they are common or not!....hey isnt that what a text book for?!?
Even macquarie revision guides dont have it only excel which i already have!

Wink

Ive found 2 textbooks which have some information in them from the library...It is sort of the old syllabus I think, but there a few points in them from the new syllabus!

The books are called;
Chemistry Outlines: Electives
and General Chemistry

hey s_kaye Do u know where your teacher got the summaries from? If u do, it would be very helpful..thanks

yeah im pretty sure he writes them all himself. hes the authority on chem of art at the board of studies so i guess he knows a bit. how much material do you guys have? i mean you must have enough to cover all the objectives and stuff right? it cant be too bleak, otherwise why would your teacher pick it? there is some really hard competition in chem of art, damn grammar boys.

hey s_kaye whats ur teachers name?

We have the contexts and excel notes which cover the basis of the syllabus, Context being more detailed while excel providing the easier more simplified version. Our teacher is in the process of searching for notes on the arts side of the topic, ie pigments etc so they should be helpful to our understanding!

How much material do you have?

his name is Mr Hanson.

we have heaps of stuff on it. alot of it is extension stuff just in case they spring a freak question on us - like last year EDTA question. he is pretty good. ive done my art notes and theyre 35 pages so that must mean that hes taught us something.

he writes most of his own sheets and stuff becuase i think it is to scarce out there. he tries really hard- like he wrote to all these art galleries looking for a chem of art video and then finally he got one from some art gallery in London. so he puts in effort and stuff thank god.

oh and for laser microspectral analysis and emmision/absorbance spectra etc we had to do our own research - it took me 2 weeks non stop but the information is out there. state library was ok for laser microspectral analysis, although a little misleading at places.

oh and i called up some girls from last year to get their notes on the topic - just makes it easier.

Good luck everyone in trials.
Mine start on mon!
