Hey everyone,

I NEED URGENT HELP! Does anyone know for sure of the effect of surface area to volume ratio of solids on their cooling rate in water? We did an experiment in class that completely contradicted what we learnt in bio. PLEASE REPLY ASAP!

Re: URGENT: Surface area to volume ratio

Yes it does. Although I have never done this course, I am assuming you are talking about solids that have a higher SA:V ratio will cool faster than solids with a lower SA:V ratio, right? Yes it is true.
