9 Oct 2009, 11:17 PM ![]() | editing You can hide this advertisement by registering. hey everyonethis kinda sounds really simple and stuff but how do you go about editing (both advice and experiences if you've done or are doing ext eng two)? should you start cutting out huge bits, should you actually figure out your thesis, should you start picking apart spelling/ grammer etc.? right now i have a (pretty bad :P) first draft and i just dont really know how to go about it. im defintely showing my teachers tomorrow to let them read through it and tell me to pull my socks up but any suggestions. or any motivating words to help me get over my procrastination/ anxiety about critical response ness ? thanks ^^ |

| Loose lips sink ships | Re: editing First of all, make sure the whole thing makes sense. If not, mark up what parts don't quite fit and work on the cohesion of the piece. After you've looked at the overall picture then look at spelling, punctuation and grammar. When you're editing, the most important thing is clarity - everything you change should be helping the clarity of the piece. |
