Broad themed poetry

I was strolling through this neck of the woods/forum and i am now extremely intregued with the notion using poetry as my major work next year...

So what's the deal?

Since the poetry needs to be all of a similar 'theme', i was thinking of making my theme broad and ambiguous in my poems.

I usually write poems about non-people friendly issues that i fear BOS may institutionalize me for...

So, if i use a broad theme such as "Color", could i use extreme amounts of metaphors and euphemisms to still write about what i want to, while maintaining a somewhat 'sane' facade?

Thanks

Re: Broad themed poetry

well, it depends!
your major work has to be based on either your extension 1 English course, or your English advanced course. So something like 'colour' might not fit into that
