Hi, this is my first post here :uhhuh: And i was just inquiring about three things really.
1. What is the exact time limit for a short movie.
and secondly,
2.Am i allowed to shoot overseas?
and lastly,
3.Am i allowed to use professional facilities at my disposal such as sound studio for example, for crisp voice overs etc ?

And thanks in advance fellow Filmmakers (sp?). And note, i'm a 2009 HSC student, so i haven't actually chosen 4U English, but i am currently ranked first for 3U english and i'm sure being able to select 4U English is the least of my worries.

1. 6-8 minutes for video, 4-5 for film (I think) check the english syllabus
2. I don't imagine this would be a problem, provided you are still the sole writer & director of the work.
3. Yes you are allowed to, but they are only aloud to operate form instructions from you, you have to direct what they do and you must credit them either in your film credits or on a written addendum to your dvd.

Good luck, my advice if you're going to film is try and gain as many resources as possible & stick to strict timeframe.
