This is something completely outside the syllabus, but our teacher decided for the first time ever to try teaching the class Boolean Algebra.

Basically, this is for questions where you are given certain conditions, and you must design a circuit to satisfy these conditions.
These questions are pieces of shit, where you generally have to quess or do trial and error until you get it.

Well Boolean Algebra, allows you to do these types of questions in 10 seconds quite literally, which is significant since they are usually worth 3-4 marks.


I'm just wondering, as anyone else heard of this or been taught this? I think it should definately be in the syllabus, as designing circuits given conditions using any other method is simple futile.

if you're looking into doing electrical/computer/telecommunication/software engineering you will encounter this in first year uni.
