Hey mates, let's give each other a hand. If you find out any sites that have code on them (of any sort) please post the link here.

    Thanks

Thanks, see a little help goes along way (especially if your lazy like mwa). Hey Rahul I'm using Visual Basic, but I might check out C++ when I'm all grown up and have money to spend on stuff like that (my copy of VB came free).

hrmm.. i see some potential slashdotters and open source zealots here (dont get me wrong, im a supporter!)

    www.gamedev.net

for a goood * extremely good c++ IDE (and free, and non visualc++), get to www.bloodshed.net

I heard borland c++ compiler was very very fast.. (round 8 megs download) , but then you could also use GCC (gnu compiler collection).. theres a win32 ported one I think, its mingw, and dev-c++ uses it.
(signature has been removed by an anonymous mod. once upon a time this space contained uberly controversial material. But the legend will never die.)

    Programming Stuff

I recommend Bloodshed too. I've often felt like shedding some blood after those all-too common errors in C++ compiling.

Check out http://sourceforge.net for some programs you can hack apart for ideas.
