Novel 'The portrait of a lady' by Henry James
This however is 644 pages long and can be a bit hard to get into

Portrait of a Lady is actually a set text for Individual and Society. Don't think you can use it as a related... not sure though.

i did 'signs of the times' by thomas carlyle.. handy if you're talking about the impact of industrialisation/social darwinism..
