In 2005 i aim to do Law/Psychology at ANU, with my UAI i should easily get accepted. But i was just wondering if a completed 1yr study at ANU, and then decided to transfer to a Uni closer to home, say Usyd, would the work i did at ANU still credit towards the study i continue at Usyd - or will it be a year wasted and money lost?

I serve as an example, but generally if one were to transfer between unis and keep subjects roughly the same, would they credit towards the new uni and thus allow us to do a year less

Usually you'll get transfer credit, however faculties in some uni's have a limit of how many credit points/subject you can be credited for from other universities.

It is best to contact the faculty at USyd and tell them of the ANU subjects in first year and ask them whether some or all will be credited should you transfer.
