So I know I wont get a 97 atar so I wont get into law directly, but the course transfer requirements are:

(i) Completed 24cp at Macquarie University (RPL excluded); OR
Completed 24 – 48cp** at Macquarie University including
RPL; and
(ii) GPA 3.0/4.0 [or 5.25/7.0] or higher; and
(iii) Pass grades or higher in LEX101 or LEX102

No clue what this means? What degree do I need to pickup to achieve the gpa?

Well, do you wanna do just a single bachelor of laws? If you wanted to do for example, arts/law, do a year of arts and get insane marks. A perfect GPA at macquarie for 1 year is very achievable because all distinctions (75%) and above average is a 4/4.

what about accounting/ law together? Would I need to be ace accounting instead of arts in that case?
How hard would you say a 75% distinction is?

Depends on the unit. I'd say ACCG250 would be pretty easy to get a distinction in, but certainty accg1a and accg1b should be possible to get distinctions in if you study consistently.
