My initial first pref is bachelor of medsci at UNSW, and now that i have an offer from UNSW i have my doubts if i should go to usyd instead (due to being impressed by usyd's campus, better reputation for med and science, and friends who are going there). I plan to transfer to post-grad med and i hear usyd is the way to go, but the cutoff for medsci of 94(UNSW) vs 90(usyd) is pretty steep. can anyone with knowledge inform me about differences in medsci and postgraduate med transfers at the two universities? also if i were to change to usyd, do i just change my preferences on UAC, wait for feb offers and hope there are vacancies? thanks!

You don't transfer into medicine. You apply and you undergo a selection procedure. With a med science degree you are screwed regardless of which university you choose as everyone either wants medicine or dentistry with a small proportion going into pharmacy.
