and yeah i did it the same as _random_

she has a 1 in 3 chance of pickin choc first
then u times it by 1 over 2 because she has a 1/2 chance of picking that second

and you get 1/6

Answers That I Got!!!!

I got the same answer for part iii of question 25 (b).
For question 25 (c) these are the following answers:
(i) 40 10
20 130

(ii) 130 + 40= 170

(iii) 170/200*100= 85%

(iv) 20/200*100= 10%

lol omg. i drew a tree diagram and sample space.. then got 1/9 i think. obviously that's wrong.

but i got the same as chris_gleeson for c.

ii) i got 170 (40 + 130)

iii) i got 85% (170/200 x 100)

I think that for part (iv) the answer is 20/150 = 13.3% as it is only for the % who did NOT lie

chris... for part iv) wouldnt it be 20/150?? not 200??

i got my answer because it says what is the prob that the test indicated a lie for those that didnt lie... and there are 150 that didnt lie and 20 indicated a lie???

i dunno
