i said (170, 55) and then that it couldn't be entirely accurate as it's an average..(dunno bout that bit though lol)

my coordinates were (170,55). i had (170,58) at first cos i was accidentally finding the average.. rubbed it out last minute then changed it to the median.

2nd Q i said u needed to find a point that's 1/3 of the way away from the median and draw a line parrallel to it... lol guessed it.. made up bs.

i dont think so.. i think u had to work out the middle coordinate of the x & y values that were given =/ could be wrong tho.

i) i put 55,170... i got the numbers right but cldnt remember what went first

ii) you have to move the line 1/3 towards the middle point (C) that way it kinda shows the average... for sum reason i never forgot my maths teacher tellin me that)

iii) 1. the person wold be 187.5
2. muscle weighs more per cm than fat... it only gives averages blah blah blah

i did like the middle or average or something, then said you had to draw a parrarel line 1/3rd of the distance between the original line and that point.
And i said that it would be completly inaccurate in the case if a pregnant woman, as that has no effect on their hight, but they gain weight

I found the averages....

And for the qtn to do with why it wouldn't be accurate, I said cos tall people dont necessary weigh more... especially people who are technically dead according to the Army (there is one of them in my maths class...)

And the qtn to do with the what to do next thing, I said label the line, put a title on the graph and extend the line to use the entire area of the graph (from one side to the other)... I had no idea what the correct answer was...

u need to find the mean because that point wasnt central to both points.. you can see in the 1st 1/3 of the graph the point they chose wasnt the median point but an average of the three...
so it was 58,170

I didn't come to any Maths classes for about the last month of school so I didn't know anything about it. For my answers I put:

i) 170, 75 (guesswork)

ii) Didn't have a clue what the stupid fourth step was so I went the smart alec route and put "decorate with sequins and silver glitter."

i think i put 170,60 as a complete guess.

it was the only topic i actually understood wholly in year 12, and the only question i had no hope of doing.
