Case study help...

Lads. Lasses. Can anyone please help me with this case study question ? I'm really stuck and have no clue

Discuss the role of curators, galleries and critics in the presentation of exhibitions to the public -

seems straightforward enough but theres very little research to be found anywhere.

Use the biennale of sydney 04 as an example..
You should go to the exhibition, you get a free booklet too (which helps alot!)..
Take note of the arrangement of the artworks..

What environment do they have to be in? and why?
Why are some works placed to other works?

Take particular care in analysing the installation works and the sitespecific.

ohh.. yeah.. the main point u should focus on is how well they represent the theme of the exhibition or the point of view of the curator.

I have an essay :"‘Exhibitions are constructed to represent a point of view to audiences’
Discuss this statement in relation to exhibitions you have seen or heard about
"

Pm me for it- and beg like you never begged before, lol

thanks dude. It gives me a direction to head in now. My main concern is, how does the critic's role fit into all this ?

Why don't you collect some reviews that art critics have done of exhibitions and discuss them? Explain how they can affect the success of an exhibition and so on? Or why don't you try to contact some artists and ask THEM how they think their exhibitions have been affected by critics? Go out on a limb!
