French or Accounting?

You can hide this advertisement by registering.
I am very unsure of which subject to take up as I like French, because I'm alright in it and i think learning a language will be good, but i want an "easy" subject so that i won't stress too much because i tend to stress easily (im one of those ppl) and apparently accounting is "easy" because like everyone gets like over 40 (raw).
So which one do u recommend?
I was also thinking of doing french 1/2 and then see if i like it and continue it or drop and still be able to pick up accounting 3/4. would that be a good decision? is it possible to do accounting 3/4 and do well without the 1/2?

i'd appreciate any feedback =D

Re: French or Accounting?

If you're keen on getting a good enter, i suggest french because it scales up heaps. But french is very demanding and seeing that you're easily stressed, this subject would be very straining for you. However, you do have an equal chance of doing well in Accounting. Since it IS a relatively easy subject (but no, a small percentage only get above 40 as with all other subjects), you would be able to perform better in a relaxed state of mind. But then everybody would be comfortable with the subject, and in this case it would be extremely competitive.

So basically, both subjects are good choices, but you need to know your priorities.

Hope thats helpful

If you are confident in French, and you are within the top of your class at it, you probably should do it. French scaling is not like other subjects; it doesn't scale only because it's hard, but also because the government wants you to do it.

Accounting 1/2 is not necessary for Accounting 3/4. People can get 50s without it.

French isn't demanding. It only seems demanding because it's a language, and usually with most languages you grasp the concepts with a lot of practice. It's only demanding if you haven't put in the effort to perform well.

french is good for the soul. accounting isn't.
