German, is it worth it?

You can hide this advertisement by registering.
So I've done german since prep. But only started putting in any effort this year [year 11] and am getting about a B for most things.
Do you think its worth doing year 12 for the 10 extra points?
in my class there's two people who have german heritage and speak at home and someone whos just crazy devoted, all of which make me feel very dumb.

Anyone got any tips or things that have helped them learn german?

Go to Germany; that's what I did.
Otherwise, try to speak in German with those native-speakers every once in a while. Also, it's good to find out how you best learn vocab. I used to cut up palm cards into 4s, and then write then English word on one side and the German word on the other. Grammar is also important, but harder to revise.
