hey guys,

today i got a maths sac back and got 24/40, i was devastated with this result and went through the test to see where i went wrong, on several of the answers i did not understand why they were wrong, so i went through the paper with my teacher, question after question i proved my teacher wrong and my end mark resulted in being 36/40 a twelve mark difference!!!
so be warned everyone, always check your marks!!!

ive had similar problems in other classes, are your teachers as careless?

i mean im in year twelve!! imagine if i didn't check it!!

Eh, last year I got marked incorrectly on an r+s SAC, my teacher goes to me "yeah, they'd probably give you the mark on the exam" and couldn't be bothered changing it because she had already "submitted" my marks or some other bullshit.

Anyway, yeah, always check - but you're wrong most of the time anywho.

We had an absolutely disgusting Methods SAC where one girl got in the 90s. However she got half the multiple choice wrong - turns out our teacher had added her score to another girls. So she's changing that girl's score, only we are all outraged because she refuses to remoderate!!!

I feel sorry for the girl; she thought she got an amazing score, then had all her 'friends' turn on her to have her mark stripped from her, and then she lost it.

Re: Teachers Correcting Errors

yea teachers are pretty careless.

i had a maths sac where during the class i was correcting questions that were wrong

e.g "show that dy/dx = 4x + 2" stuff like that.

statewide sacs would be good for that

Then there would be no point in having a GAT or moderation :P Plus it would need to receive the same amount of attention as an exam (with supervisors and having to sit it at a scheduled time etc) so it wouldn't be very convenient.

I did a 3/4 SAC earlier in the year for Psych. It was in the format of 35 multiple choice questions and when I got it back, I had apparently gotten 16/35!! But it turns out the teacher used the wrong answer sheet (since there were two or three SACs across the year level - just to prevent students who are doing the SAC later in the day from cheating). Ended up getting 33/35, everything felt right again.

The same thing happened with me in two of my physics SACs . The bad thing was that my teacher didnt look at my paper properly...those marks were important cose the ranks were really close.... with the extra marks i beat like 3 other people that i wouldnt have if i hadnt looked closer

I had to check with my friends to see where i had lost marks.... gaarh... oh well only a couple left.... game on!

Re: Teachers Correcting Errors

that happened to me for my english text response sac last semester, the teacher had written above sentences about stuff i should have included and obv she was marking it as she was going along because a few sentences later was the stuff she said i needed to have written on. it ended up being the difference b/w an a and a+. so i was lucky i brought it up with her

hell I wasn't happy when a single question was marked wrong, where it was actually correct.
