Almost there!

This thread is for year 12's and year 11's (who are doing a 3/4 subject).

As we all start notching off our last few SACs (I only have 7 left!) we've already probably got a good idea of where we're heading results wise and are already or are starting to pick up the pace for exams which seem to be ages away but are actually closer than we think. My dad keeps telling me "it's a marathon and the stadium is in sight! Better not slack off!" >_<

How has everyone gone (overall)?

If you think you can, do you have a better idea of what you think you can achieve by the end of the year?

I know not everyone will have picked up the pace, I'm only starting now and some will only start a month or even more from now, but how much are you working/intending to work leading up to exams?

A big one for some, how have your goals changed? e.g. I started the year off wanting to get straight into law, now I have the more realistic goal of wanting to get into Arts and then transfer to law from there.

Very similar to me. Around 8 months I would have been shocked at the thought of even contemplating getting under an ENTER of 90 as I have an older brother who set the standard by getting 97.15 and very demanding parents, but now I've grown to be much more realistic and will be happy with anything above 85. I'll be one of the happiest VCErs ever if I got 90 or above, but I am much more realistic, even pessimistic now.

Re: Almost there!

hello! i'm in year 11 currently doing two 3/4s: enviro sci and international studies.

i'm doing well in both of them (i'm pleased with my sac marks, at least), but i feel i can still do better, especially with international studies. i'm averaging about 90% with envirosci, about 80% with international studies.

i hope to get a 40+ study score for both these subjects.

things i will do:
- finish writing my summary notes for both subjects during the sept school holidays
- start doing practice exams during sept school holidays
- be more focused/motivated; spend less time on time-wasting sites such as facebook (ugh!), twitter, bos...

i hope to achieve an ENTER score in the high 90s... possibly over 95.

and... i want to pursue an architecture course at uni.

good luck guys!!

Re: Almost there!

Bah I'm just doing psych 3/4, and I'm so over it at the moment....it's just overload! I've got an A average in SACs, but I'm thinking I'll only get a 37, or something around there. I try my hardest, but my hardest isn't an A+.
Guess I'm more of a humanities girl!

My goals have definitely changed...I wanted to do a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology then followed by a Masters of Ed. Now I'm thinking a Bachelor of Arts (Musical Theatre) and a Masters of Ed a few years after that....because drama is my best subject and I adore it
I don't really care about my ENTER, as long as I know I've tried my hardest.
Who knows!
