This is why he becomes so paranoid when Kathy disappears, because she was the only one who still loved him. And by him dumping the radio in the river signifies that he's learnt to accept that she's gone because he did use her in a way, always making sure that he had control over her. So basically he gives up the search, for Kathy, for love. |
