So how'd we go?

The passages for The White Earth were decent and Harwood's poems being ok.

Definitely didn't do anywhere near as badly as I thought I would.

Thoughts on the exam?

Re: So how'd we go?

Great passages for Hedda and a good selection of poems for Donne. Overall it was well below my best work but given how little preparation I did, I'm not really concerned - just glad that I did English as well.

Re: So how'd we go?

Fucked it. I can't write an exam at fucking 3-5pm >_<

I liked the This Boy's Life passages and wrote a good analysis for that, but then at about 4.20pm when I started my Frankenstein analysis (on ok passages), I just hit a block and wrote some mashed together shit piece which I didn't even finish on time.

Very disappointed as I got straight A+'s in all my SAC's and am ranked second in my class - I might have seriously fucked up my score.

Yeah, can anyone here reassure me that an A+, A+, C+ for the year can still get me 35+ ? xD

Re: So how'd we go?

I absolutely ADORED frankenstein passages... so many great links/parallels/language use etc to draw on, i was very happy with my essay for it.

Three Sistes on the other hand.............................................. ...WTF?! Seriously the worst passages ever!! Are the VCAA joking or what?? Hardly any good quotes, hardly anything on the three sisters themselves, I was like what the hell ? Managed to write four pages, but STILL. Quality > Quantity always, and i'm not so sure what I wrote was quality!!!

Anyway thank god it's over is all I can say!

You might've not done as bad as you think you have. So many times I've got into SAC's and stuff thinking that it was my worst work, then was pleasantly surprised when I got A's and A+'s. So don't underestimate yourself!!! srsly.

Re: So how'd we go?

I think it went okay.. but I'm also a terrible judger of these things
Donne passages suprised me a bit, I think I'd spent to much time focussing on the ones that hadnt already been on so i wasn't expecting A Valediction... but it seemed to fit in alright. And Bleak House was pretty good all up.
Dreaming of those A's!

Re: So how'd we go?

considering i had 2 additional exams today, i went fine. wrote about 2 pages per piece in my tiny handwriting and simply ran out of gas at the end of Hedda and wrote the dullest of conclusions.

aced psych in the morning which served as an aaawesome confidence booster.

Re: So how'd we go?

Gwen was pretty pretty good, loved the Lion's Bride...I couldn't believe they put the twins on though, Mother Who Gave Me Life would have been so much better.

Washington Square was a joke, I probably got 0, so devastated, as I hadn't' dropped below an A+ all year.

I think the real the problem though was the lack of time. Seriously an extra fifteen minutes would have been great.

Re: So how'd we go?

Larkin were lovely, easily linked.

Stasiland were good passages, although I felt i was repeating myself constantly. I loved the passage on the Stasi as a religion too much, and all my paragraphs seemed to slip back to discussing that in similar ways.

Hoping for over 13 in both. Would be disappointed if either dropped below 10.
