Gee you were in year 11 and got a 49 and a 50. ![]() If you keep those marks up you should easily manage a 99+ (potentially 99.95) I have a friend who got a 46 for maths methods, 41 for accounting, 43 for specialist maths, 43 for physics, 43 for chemistry, 40 for english and 88% for UMEP and he got 99.2.

20 Nov 2009, 6:08 PM ![]() | Re: A 50 in Further Mathematics I did next to no revision for the exam, all I did was the practice exams from the last two years which my Further teacher made my cohort do, also I was too lazy to make my own bound reference for the exam so I just used my textbook as bound reference and got 43 Raw, I did completely screw the first exam which was MC, lost a fair few marks there, got close to full marking the second exam though..

| Senior Member | Re: A 50 in Further Mathematics its all moderated, it depends how other ppl who do the subject go, it will change from year to year, however i would guess that you'd have to be ranked 1 in sacs and get very little wrong in the exam, maybe 3 marks absolute maximum

Heh, with my SAC marks so far this year, I don't think I can even get a 40+ now. An A on my first (most important SAC) and a D+ on the second SAC xD. Got a big class and I'm ranked above average tho. I reckon I'll do better on my third SAC this coming Tuesday, but still, unless i don't drop any marks on the exam (unlikely) I' aiming for anything 30+. |

20 Nov 2009, 6:08 PM ![]() | Re: A 50 in Further Mathematics Think if you go to a good school you can be ranked in the top few and still get 50. I know for a fact that a few of my friends who 50'd Further weren't ranked 1st or 2nd, but were around the top 5 vicinity. They got close to full marks on the exams though. I was ranked in the middle of my cohort, and got 43 (I absolutely screwed exam 1 though)

| New Member | Re: A 50 in Further Mathematics considering the competition how many people iin the state get 50 for further? it seems like specialist is a dying subject now that everyone is switching from specialist to further is getting 40-50. is it even nessacery to even do specialist? because very few vce courses require it as a pre requiste |
