Unit 4

Do all physics student find Unit 4 a lot more challenging
than unit 3? I hope it is not just our school but everyone in
my class finds unit 4 to be alot harder than Unit 3.

It doesn't help that our teacher doesn't have a clue about the
light and matter topic nor that he just skips points off the study
design and give us copious amounts of irrelevant information.

Also, does anyone have unit 4 study material as Vicphysics has not
put its study material up for unit 4

Re: Unit 4

The Unit 4 concepts are harder to grasp. Otherwise, compared to Unit 3, it is easier.

Re: Unit 4

I think the concepts are harder, but I think the potential for hard questions is quite a bit lower than Unit 3 (as Unit 3 can ask quite a few problem solving ones). Although we didn't really see any on the midyear exam though...

Re: Unit 4

I felt they were probably a little bit harder overall, mainly due to the pure amount of information and theory in Light & Matter. Electromagnetism and Sound are quite easy, however.

The actual questions were much easier than those from in Unit 3, however. Working with Motion contains far harder equations than anything in Unit 4.

Re: Unit 4

i don't think it's harder, there is just more to learn especially light and matter which SUCKS! it shall be my downfall in the exa. i think you are right though, the potential for harder problem solving questions isnt as big for this semester so heres hoping

Re: Unit 4

I think that Unit 4 has been much easier than Unit 3. Although this may be because I've read the textbook and not just relied on my teacher to actually teach me anything.

Re: Unit 4

I got a feeling the Unit 4 exam is probably going to be pretty hard since the cut-off for A+ was like 86.5/90 for unit 3.

Re: Unit 4

I agree. The difficulty needs to be balanced out. I'm expecting anything and everything from the Unit 4 exam since it will show who is capable of getting a 50. (not me )

Re: Unit 4

unit 3 was easier because of motion i reckon - does everyone study it in year 11?
