    help with EES

    Hi guys
    i just recently heard about EES
    is it a subject that you can pick up in year 12?
    my school doesnt offer it..
    how well do people go in this subject?
    & if you were to get a 90 in this subject
    would it still be scaled down?

    you have to pick up earth in year 11, cause its mandatory to do the prelim course.
    and im pretty sure it doesnt scale down if you get 88 or above

    It is a 2 unit subject which does require completion of the preliminary content prior to undertaking it at HSC level.

    I'd highly recommend that you check the syllabus! Especially when concerning the cores! Probably around 80% of my class has dropped it, due to the fact that it wasn't what they had expected it to be (high focus on geology...)

    If you're school isn't offering, just double check with the head teacher to make sure. In terms of the HSC is does have a small candidature, and thus many schools don't offer it, as not many students take it up. If you were looking at doing the subject and are committed and determined, you could do it via distance education. But that's if you are REALLY motivated and desiring to complete it!
