The Listeners by Walter de La Mare if you are after a poem for a related text.

Do you know any discovery related texts that cover the whole rubric?

Also is using Peter Shrzynecki as a related text, worth using?

Choosing a related text is critical and must be picked so that it compliments your core texts so that you can reinforce how there are aspects of discovery which are similar but are also different. In terms of relating the rubric, I think any two combination of texts can relate to the rubric you just have to look for those connections.

Re: Blit's guide to choosing related text for Discovery :)

Don't know if this thread is dead or not, but prelims is in a week's time an I'm absolutely screwed. Like my time management has gone to wreck and I still have yet to choose a related material. If someone - ANYONE - could send me a super easy to study related material that I can link to Witness (1985 Film) and/or Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck), that would be so helpful. I don't mind anything at this point - something I could cram in to one night is all I need.

p.s Also would love if you could send me some notes to ilysm

    thank u all

Still stressed about related texts and haven't chosen one for your HSC in 3 days?

Here's a list of suggestions to hopefully get you over the line.

Hey Blit, I'm doing Dobson and i need a related text, but i'm not too sure which poem i want to use yet. I was thinking of maybe doing the Unsung Hero ad, Interstellar or Mao's last dancer. Would any of these be good to use, or would you suggest any others?

I don't know Dobson but the Unsung Hero ad is quite good especially with the emotional discovery aspect
