What Gough said about at least 2 additional texts is it true?So best responces is 2 from prescribed, 1 journey stimulus and 2 additonal right? And the thing about the plan, isn't good to show that you made a plan?? I mean even if you finish your essay, isn't it good to have a plan so they know you planned it. I was lead to believe plan is always good to show off Otherwise I found all those tip very useful. You have my thanks too

23 Mar 2008, 9:13 PM ![]() | When it says "prescribe text" it means two. That is what my teacher told me. I did the catholic paper for trials, did one text from prescribe, said I missed a whole Skrzynecki poem. I won't for that trap again.

| Exalted Member | Skrzynecki is your prescribed text. In your exam tomorrow, you will need to refer AT LEAST two poems, perferably three (2 in details, 1 in general). 1 text from the stimulus booklet (it's been the same patterns for the last 3 years, finger cross it will be the same this year), and two additional materials. hotcocoababe, thanks for your explainations. In the cathoic paper Section 2, it asked me to write a series of Joural Entry, does that mean I will need to write more than 2? And with each of the entry, I need to show how I've change as time goes on? Thanks in advance ![]() PS the reason why I ask is because our school has never done anything apart from Essays and Speeches. |

23 Mar 2008, 9:13 PM ![]() | Hmm I haven't seen a trial or past paper with 2 AOS booklet texts. If they changed it, i am done for because I didn't prepare 2. Dont scare me Gough, they only want one. THEY ONLY WANT ONE! THEY ONLY WANT ONE!!!!

But yea its ok, i get what you mean now. You had to refer to more than one poem because you did that as your set text. One poem simply isn't enough to use.... So yea, im cool with it now, cuz I didn't do that Its all good!No probs, glad I could help! Yea, you would need to write more than two for sure, also they would need to be consecutive. And yep, with each entry, show how much you (or the persona) have 'developed' and 'grown' through the journey you (or persona) has undertaken.... basically, just relate whatever you do back to the AOS dot points in whatever ways you can! IF we get asked to do any sort of journal entry question, it will get asked at the Creative Writing question.... So don't worry, we still have to write an essay! *collective groans* LOL If you need anymore help, ask away

23 Mar 2008, 9:13 PM ![]() | Gough was simply refering to the text required for AOS essay You mention that it only 1 journey booklet text is required though you implied that this could possibly change which is my worse nightmare. I think they would leave it as 1 because for me, I have 5 text to do (2 skrzynecki, 1 journey, 2 additional) anymore would be too much to go into any details for each. Hence they can't make me do 6 texts, can they?

LOL, my teacher is an HSC marker, and she told us to be prepared to be able to do more than one stim book text, and POSSIBLY even SPECIFIC ones :s There is no rule saying that the Board can't stipulate that we use more than one stim book text, or even certain ones in particular, if they so desire. So as long as you have a basic understand of all six, with a specific focus on two, then you should be fine. Sorry Wahzazz
