i dont care what people want to do, i only want to do minimum possible... so what is the mandatory amount?? 1 or 2? Will it say "at least one" or "at least two"? coz i aint doin more than one if i dont have to!
english is the subject i least focus on, coz all it is is making up crap about stuff, and i hate it, let me rephrase - L-O-A-T-H-E it, its a load of f*ing bull, but i can pass it so all i wanna noe is how many texts i have to crap on about??

When a question says to refer to additional texts of your own choosing, do you have to do two? I know that you should prepare for 2 but when it doesn't really specify can you do just one?

im having trouble with section two...like what to writ about..im usually good at creative writing but im stuffed for an idea now...any inspiration would be really helpful if anyone is offering..i keep thinking an ending that involves a suicide..which can be pretty predictable..and its sad so yeah...bit negative too

I'm pretty sure "texts" mean at least two. "Text(s)", on the other hand, mean at least one.

i would write about 2 as texts is plural. normally when they just want one text, the have 'one' in capitals to make it stand out

the BOS has too much expectations if they want us to write 2 additional along with 3 PS poems and one stimulus.

not to mention that we have to deal with each texts explictly with reference to 3 techniques in each, an analysis of the notion of journey presented and the effectiveness of the techniques in 40 min.

pfft... i doubt that even my teachers can do that in 40 minutes....

I AM GOING WITH ONE ADDITIONAL, 2 PS AND 1 STIMULUS

but not every1 does poems, i only have one prescribed text (tempest) and the one stimulus, so for me two additional texts dont seem that much. if anything it mite help me write abit more in my essays

OK, from what I know, you have to know:

Your perscribed text or texts whether it be 'The Tempest' or poems etc. If it is poems you should know at least 2 really well and have the general idea on all of them.

You should know one stimilus booklet text in detail.

Your should know at least two additional texts that can help to support you concept. Remember you can be asked to have two such as "you perscribed text, stimius booklet text and at least TWO additional texts" or it can be one such as "your perscribed text, stimilus booklet text and ONE additional text"

Also remember when it says at least then a number just do the number. For example if it says "at least ONE text" only do one, don't bother doing two unless you can really pull it off, otherwise it is a waste of your time!!

Don't forget that you can ditch 5 mins from sections 1 and 2 to have 50 mins on the essay = 10 mins on each text (for PS poem people). It makes it a lot easier.

Same Cause that way you can have roughly 8-10 minutes on each text and still fit in time for a decent introduction and conclusion.

Smile Paper 1 - English

I thought we had to have: 1 pescribed text, 2 from the stimulus booklet, and 1 additional.. is that not enough?
