Haven't read the second one. Details?

Anybody have any information on:

Sophie's World
Animal Farm

Either way I'll be reading Animal Farm (for Power Plays), but I heard Sophie's World is a good book on multiple levels. Opinions?

I've heard that it's a good 'taster' for different areas of philosophy but that the narrative aspect of the book is a bit weak. If you want a similar thing but with more advanced content you could try Passion of the Western Mind by Richard Tarnas. I've read exerpts from it and intended to read it these holidays but I coulnd't find a copy .

Out of curiosity, has anyone read any existentialist writings? I've been wading through a book of collected essays during the holidays, some of which have been quite interesting.

I have read The Outsider and i really liked it it's by Albert Camus and he was apparently inspired by Nietzsche

I have part of The Myth of Sisyphus by Campus lying about. I might give it a read tonight.

Thank you for the Albert Camus recommendation, I really enjoyed the read.
