yeh really good..had a bit of annotating to do last minute, but overall a success. We had A2 sized folios. I think I did about 100 pages, so in the end it worked out well.

I was so glad to get rid of it...lol. Yeh I am hoping to get good marks!

How do you reckon you will go?

Re: Studio Arts

A2 and A3 are about the same yes/no? (I should probably know that, but I don't :P).

And I'm feeling pretty good, just the usual little niggeling in the back of my brain that I might have missed a criteria here or there. My explorations folio was 50 A4 pages, however they were very crammed with content and I probably have another 20 A4 pages worth in my other two folios... so I reckon I've done enough work.

I'd like to think it's worth an A - A+, but then just about everybody does... so we'll see.

Haha, and last minute annotation for me too. My folio was my life that last week.

Re: Studio Arts

i dunno think A3 is half of A2..ah well doesn't matter. lol i said we had two A2 folios, i meant one, lol i wouldn't have made two, too much stuff lol

haha same....my life was art at the time. Yeh I would like to get an A+, just hoping i covered everything.

We are about to start the focus statement, after doing a few weeks of theory.

Yeah, we're supposed to have started our focus statement by monday.

As for Top Arts, I don't expect to get in, but even being shortlisted is a fair achievement... and there's nothing to lose. So yes. I reckon I'll at least apply.

Re: Studio Arts

My sketch book was full - (maybe A2 or A3 size?) I am not sure - it was just one of the normal art sized sketch books).

I think it was about 40-50 pages (double sided = 100 pages), and weighed about 8kg lol

How can you manage to do so many pages and have so many ideas when you have other subjects? I went to Top Arts earlier this year and found it depressing how much effort people put into their folios - they dedicate their whole life to studio arts lol

It sounds like we covered about the same amount of blank paper. I don't think it really matters how many pages you have as long as there's an overall sense of quaity there. I.e. I did a lot of work with found objects which I just stuck staight in, with small drawings and test strips and annotating filling just about every gap.

Hmm, can't wait to get my mark back and know wether I've aced it or missed the mark on something...

I had terrible study habits last year... aka night before crammage for both SACS and the end of year... so considering I did quite well with a 39.

And BBIS for the win. I don't know what I'll do if I don't get in, probably do the Info systems at caulfield and then try and move over... :P.

Man, that's weird though. It's a small enough course we'll probably meet.

What subjects are you doing/have you done?

Re: Studio Arts

Haha, didn't answer the main question. But I don't know really.

I know last year my school got audited, and this year the school I'm doing it at is cross marking with teachers from another school... but no clue on the regs.

Re: Studio Arts

I got my folio mark back today.. A+

YAY soo happy, everyone in my class got A's and B's so I was really suprised that I was the only one who got the A+ !

HOPEFULLY, my school doesn't get audited because 25% of the state get an A+ (internal assessmenet) and only 5% maintain the standard after external assessment

Re: Studio Arts

I've barely started my artworks, just collected the materials really (which is half the task I spose)... and really there are only a few weeks left!

I got my Unit 3 folio mark today - A+, all official like too! Thank god.

How'd everyone else go?

Re: Studio Arts

Congrats. yeh i got an A+ too. Thank-god for that
I have finished my first piece which took me ages cos I stuffed up so much...but it's done.
I am onto my 2nd piece, I have almost finished the 1st part of the series of 4.
then I have my final piece.

I have tried to put two weeks to each piece, with a week at the end to spare.

How are the rest of you going now?
how much stuff are you doing in the smaller unit 4 diary?
