the examiner i actually spoke to during the exam revision fortnight in september actually told me to stick to the number of lines.
writing pages and pages pages indicates to them a whole lot of waffle.
my responses were very succinct, and i KNOW that's what they were after.

hated the image with the punk chick.
i wrote on the piece by Picini; "conservatum elementum" or whatever it was called for question 1.
the photography of the factory grounds for the question about curator/conservation.

i liked that the exam was very "optional"

the question about appropriation was VERY ambigious, and some-what contradictory, do you agree?

the term "appropriation" is when an artist uses another art work to make their own. i found it odd that they asked why it was important to consider "appropriation" when "appropriating"
did anyone else find that?

Re: Studio Arts

Here I was thinking using an extra page in the script book for the essay was a good effort...

The appropriation one... I guess they just consider those other things in the 'field' of appropriation? I wrote about copyright law.

It doesn't matter if you write a long response, as long as it's all relevant. I knew a lot of points, I had the time, I put them all down.

That said, it won't get me any more marks than had I written a shorter response with only the exact number of points required. But then if one of my points were weak I wouldn't have any contingency before losing a mark.

... my handwriting is also on the spaced out side.

And appropriation is a consideration when appropriating... it's just a very obvious one lol.

Kind of like saying it's important to use black paint when painting in black.

Re: Studio Arts

i write about 4 words a line and was a bit put off by the fact questions which were once worth 3 marks were now worth 6 or 7. hence the trying to answer the question as best as possible and taking up the whole goddamn page. i think i'm the only one in the state who wasn't happy with their effort.
