Angry Re: 2008 Art exam

I have to say, it was quite a simple exam, but i guess al of them are, you just have to know what to talk about.

I didnt really like the first images they gave to talk about line and colour. i didnt talk about D at all. and the choices for Question 2 were pretty lame as well. i ended up talking bout the still from Transformers, and no not coz its an awesome movie, but i talked about the post modernism framework. was that too obvious to do? i siad stuff about the theme/ideas and the materials and techniques used.

i was happy with the extended responses, except i used 2 of the 3 artworks of Ron Mueck we studied, i felt they were the 2 i could talk about the most.
o well
we shll find out soon enough
im so annoyed, the marks come out the day after i get back from my schoolies

Re: 2008 Art exam

I was happy with the exam too, except, like you, ritboy, I wasn't a fan of the artworks for question 1 .. though I was really happy we got line & colour
I spoke about
- A & C for colour
- A & B for line

I did the creepy Michael Jackson thing for question 2, and used the postmodernism framework.

I was really happy when I saw the stencil for the commentary question! It was familiar, adn some of the ones I'd seen in prac exams were rather limited, but this one had quite a bit to talk about (I ran out of room!!)

The last section was pretty good. I remembered my commentaries and wrote them on my name place card as soon as we got in, because I thought I'd forget them! I did that section on Albert Tucker & Tracey Moffatt

Re: 2008 Art exam

I was a bit disappointed that you only could choose one framework in section A. I usually do 2 artworks with formal interpretation.
BUT LUCKILY I studied the Piccinini one in my folio this year so I could talk about that.

And I was hoping for 1 pre question with 2 parts instead of a pre and post in section B. I knew my pre much better.

And I am SO grateful that the last question was a Post. I would've died if it was pre 'cos I didn't study ANY pre commentaries.

I feel pretty confident though.

LAST EXAM! I'M FREE!
