it is a generalization yes, but most stuff i listen to that falls under that category is.

What are you listening to then? There's heaps of indie and rock that doesn't deal with sex and drugs. Especially in the indie scene...

death metal, especially melodic death metal.

i dunno why, i just find that i can really appreciate this kind of music, and some mdm bands make the most amazing music ever, IMO.

and, for some reason, i like 'make it mine - jason mraz', kinda random.

before i went weird, i used to be into punk, heavy metal, some rap.

Ashie0: Nice lastfm profile BTW.

I guess you can argue that for any topic through. Most indie bands will also talk about love, but a lot won't. Really, if your looking for tracks which don't deal with anything slightly controversial you are going to have a tough time having a broad range of good music. Especially if your using entire discographies to justify your decision.
