sorry about the stupid question about to be asked..

but when we get say Band 6 for something, that means our scaled mark was 90-100 right? Not the raw?

because I was reading those people that got 100 for their UAI and I honestly don't believe someone can get 97 raw for 4 unit! well maybe I believe but I'm in awe/jealousy :p

When you get band 6 it means your aligned mark was 90-100.

Aligning typically makes your marks go up a little.

Can aligning change raw marks drastically? e.g more than a 3/4 mark margin?

Yes, depends on subject. It also changes from year to year so you can't really predict it.

English Advanced and Mathematics2U in 2002 aligned pretty good.
