If there is a significant amount of difference from your HSC exam score and your course marks, do they take preference in using your HSC marks for UAI calculation?

The UAI computer used your scaled assessment marks and the exam marks only.

Your school based raw mark is not used other than to determine your rank within your school cohort and the relative differences between candidtates from your school.

Once the exams have been marked the raw marks are scanned into a computer and that computer does the rest - aligns the exam marks according to the Standards Setting Procedure, scales the school based raw marks to be the scaled assessment mark and then sends the relevant marks across to the UAI computer for it to do its determination.
