so i have trials coming up next week, i think i'll do alright, but not really as well as i couldve done-- just wondering, if i do really bad in trials, but really well in the hsc... can i still get a great mark?

Nah if you screw up trials ur fucked

Depends on
- current ranks
- how much your trials are worth
- the ranking of your school
- your cohort
- your subjects

and in a multitude of other factors. However, with the right combination, it's still possible to do great in the HSC despite crappy trials results.
