does doing alot better externally raise your internal mark by a huge margin individually.

If you're first then yes. However, your external performance will not affect your moderated assessment mark much (most likely still dragged down) if you in the middle of your cohort.

Does it get dragged down from your final report mark? or your external mark? Talking about internal mark

the final mark you are given internally, can that change drastically if you get 92+ externals.

The school mark will be moderated based on your cohort's performance.

Let's say you are the middle of a cohort of 3 students, and you all respectively earned school internal marks of 70, 63, 60. However in the external exam, you guys actually earned 94, 90, 85. Your internal mark will be moderated close to 90 since you are 2nd and this becomes your moderated assessment mark. Average this mark with what you individually got in the external exam as your exam mark and this becomes your final hsc mark.

However, if the other two turned into dropkicks, you will be affected and your moderated assessment will be dragged down.

still is unfair

Especially with English, with weird marking.

You cant really expect to push everyone at a poorly ranked school.

How is it unfair? Are you planning to do significantly worse than the top of your cohort?
At the top of the cohort for everything now, except english. I didn't do to well with the assignments and shiet retarded marking.
